Grill receives medical hardship waiver approval, set to return to Mizzou
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
Caleb Grill is officially returning to Mizzou for one more season. The team announced on Thursday that the NCAA has approved Grill's medical hardship waiver, making him eligible to play during the 2024-25 season.
The Iowa State transfer suffered a wrist injury during MU's home game against Wichita State last season, which caused him to miss the rest of the 2023-24 campaign.
Grill appeared in nine games in his first season with the Tigers and was in the starting lineup five times. He averaged 8.4 points per game, 5.8 rebounds per game and posted a .364 shooting percentage during the 2023-24 campaign.
Mizzou's graduate guard is one of seven players from last season's roster who are returning to the Tigers, joining Anthony Robinson II, Tamar Bates, Trent Pierce, Aidan Shaw, Danny Stephens and JV Brown.
