Mizzou receives pair of transfer portal pledges from offensive linemen
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
Mizzou Football has started fortifying the trenches for next season.
Head Coach Eli Drinkwitz and his staff made two transfer portal pickups at the offensive line position on Friday night, landing commitments from Michigan transfer Dominick Giudice and Wake Forest transfer Keagen Trost.
Giudice will provide the Tigers with some versatility along the interior of its offensive line. According to statistics from Pro Football Focus, Guidice has registered snaps at center (250), right guard (63) and left guard (4) over his 18 career games in Ann Arbor.
The 6-foot-4, 310-pound senior started his college career as an EDGE rusher before transitioning to offensive line during the 2022 season. Giudice was considered a three-star defensive end as a high school prospect, according to On3's Industry Rating.
Just hours later, MU learned Trost was committing to the team, following the sixth season of his college football tenure. The 6-foot-6, 300-pound talent played 766 snaps at offensive tackle and on special teams at Wake Forest during the 2024 campaign.
The Illinois native will be a veteran presence in the offensive line room. Trost is entering his seventh season and has competed for three different schools before transferring to Mizzou, including Morgan State, Indiana State and Wake Forest.
According to On3's Industry Rating, Giudice and Trost are both considered three-star transfers and bring MU's list of portal acquisitions to nine student-athletes, including four transfers on the offensive side of the football. On3 currently ranks the program's transfer class at No. 5 in the nation.
