Realus George Jr. declares for 2024 NFL Draft

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Mizzou defensive lineman Realus George Jr. became the fourth Tiger on Thursday to announce that they are declaring for the 2024 NFL Draft. The graduate student is now the sixth Mizzou defensive player to reveal their plans to take their football talents to the professional level.

George Jr. spent three seasons with Mizzou, appearing in 33 total games over his Tiger career. In 2023, he put together his best season in a Tiger uniform. George Jr. played in all 13 games this season, posting 25 total tackles, 2.5 sacks and one pass breakup.

Running back Cody Schrader, defensive back Kris Abrams-Draine and defensive lineman Nyles Gaddy also declared for the NFL Draft on Thursday. Currently, seven Mizzou football players have taken their first steps toward starting an NFL career.
