COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

One day after landing former Georgia linebacker Darris Smith out of the transfer portal, Mizzou got a commitment from another transfer at the same position. Corey Flagg Jr., the No. 8 ranked linebacker in the transfer portal according to On3, is transferring from Miami to Mizzou.

The former Miami Hurricane is a fourth year junior, and he has appeared in 43 games over four seasons with the team. Flagg Jr. has posted 179 total tackles, 24.5 tackles for loss and 5.5 sacks in his collegiate career.

His brother, Caleb Flagg, also announced on Thursday that he's transferring to Mizzou. Flagg is a sophomore safety who played two seasons at Houston Christian, posting 101 total tackles, 13 pass defenses and two interceptions over his collegiate career.

Mizzou has now landed six transfers out of the portal, including defensive back Toriano Pride, running back Marcus Carroll and offensive lineman Cayden Green. On3 ranks Mizzou's 2024 transfer class at No. 8 in the nation.
