Former Boonville Pirate announces plans to enter transfer portal

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Mizzou linebacker and former Boonville football player DJ Wesolak announced on social media on Thursday afternoon that he will enter his name in the college football transfer portal.

The former four-star recruit chose Mizzou over several top college football programs, including Alabama, Georgia and LSU, when he committed back in December 2021.

Wesolak earned his redshirt during the 2022 football season and appeared in five games, including Mizzou's bowl game against Wake Forest. However, he did not play in any games this season.

The current redshirt freshman will enter the transfer portal with three years of eligibility.
