No timeline for Mizzou Athletics to unveil Facilities Master Plan to public
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
Mizzou Athletics presented its Facilities Master Plan at Thursday's UM System Board of Curators meeting, but no timeline has been set for the plan or any renderings to be released publicly, according to officials.
The UM System Board of Curators met Thursday at the University of Missouri-St. Louis, but the discussion of Mizzou Athletics' Facilities Master Plan was not listed on the public agenda. Instead, it was part of an executive session, which takes place behind closed doors.
The Board of Curators said a timeline has not been set because of an ongoing executive session, and it could not release any details about what was discussed during Thursday's executive sessions.
Mizzou Athletics said in an Oct. 16 press release that it partnered with Kansas City architecture firm Populous to develop a plan that would include building new competition venues and practice facilities and reimagining Memorial Stadium's north concourse. The plan was set to be developed based on an assessment of Mizzou's current athletic facilities.
