Royals lose Sunday to split four-game series in Minnesota

KANSA CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Kansas City Royals fell on the road 7-3 Sunday to split the series 2-2 with the Minnesota Twins.

Zack Greinke pitched most of the game for KC allowing five earned runs on six hits and recording two strikeouts.

The Royals found themselves down 6-0 going into the seventh. Runs were drove in by Benintendi, Melendez and Dozier in the next two innings but the bats of the Twins didn't stop there.

Up next - Kansas City will stay on the road and play in Cleveland against the Guardians tomorrow at 5:10 p.m.
