Chiefs come out on top against Rams; offense struggles in red zone

KANSAS CITY, MO. (KMIZ)

Despite some offensive struggles in the red zone, the Kansas City Chiefs extended its winning streak to five Sunday evening with a 23-10 win over the Los Angeles Rams.

KC had five red-zone opportunities where they couldn't find the end zone, one of which was an interception and four ended in field goals.

Patrick Mahomes ended the day 27/42 for 320 yards, a touchdown and an interception.

Isiah Pacheco led things on the ground with 69 yards and a score, while Travis Kelce led the receiving core with four catches for 57 yards and a touchdown.

The defense came up big for Kansas City in the second half with two interceptions from former Mizzou Tiger Nick Bolton and L'Jarius Sneed.

Bolton also led the defense is tackles with 10. The group had three sacks on the day from Chris Jones, Bryan Cook and George Karlaftis.

Up next - the Chiefs have a rematch of last year's AFC Championship game as they head to Cincinnati to take on the Bengals at 3:25 p.m.
