Columbia College takes down William Woods; advances in AMC Tournament

COLUMBIA, Mo (KMIZ)

The Columbia College Cougars will advance further into the AMC Tournament after a 7-5 win over William Woods on Thursday afternoon.

The Cougars matched the program high for most, consecutive wins with their 28th straight victory.

The team started quickly, with a four-run advantage over the Owls for the majority of the match up. However, William Woods made it close in the fifth inning, courtesy of a Mallory Feldewerth inside the park home run, which made it 5-4.

In the bottom of the inning, Columbia College responded with runs driven in by both Karolina Arbova and Skyler Kauble.

Up next - the Cougars await to learn who they will meet in the next round of AMC Tournament action.
