Clarification: NCAA Women’s Championships story

ATLANTA (AP) —  An Associated Press story on March 18, 2022, did not conform with AP style in describing Lia Thomas’ time as a University of Pennsylvania swimmer. The story should have said she also competed for Penn while transitioning. The new version conforms with AP style for transgender people.
