COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Mizzou's freshman phenom is set to return to Columbia for his sophomore season.

On Thursday, the team announced that wide receiver Donovan Olugbode has resigned to another year in the black and gold. With the departures of receivers Joshua Manning and Marquis Johnson to the transfer portal and Kevin Coleman Jr. to graduation, Olugbode's presence will prove critical for head coach Eli Drinkwitz.

The Chicago native had a breakout year in his debut season, as he ended up with 30 catches for 401 yards (No. 2 on the team) and two touchdowns (No. 2 on the team), averaging 13.4 yards per reception.

In addition to Olugbode, Drinkwitz will also bring back receivers Daniel Blood, Shaun Terry II and DeMarion Fowlkes. Through the 2025 campaign, Blood and Terry combined for 70 yards on six receptions. Meanwhile, Fowlkes didn't get any catchest this year, but was Mizzou's leading kickoff return man.
