COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

After three seasons in Columbia, Mizzou forward Aidan Shaw announced that he will enter the transfer portal.

The Overland Park, Kansas native put out a statement on X on Tuesday afternoon and said, "I would like to sincerely express my gratitude to the Mizzou staff for the opportunity to play at the University of Missouri. Over the past three years, I have had truly remarkable experiences filled with unforgettable memories. I am incredibly grateful for the amazing fans and the wonderful individuals I've encountered along this journey. Although it is a difficult decision, I believe it is important to prioritize my future. After careful consideration and discussions with my family, I have decided to enter the transfer portal. Thank you, Mizzou, for everything."

After making appearances in all 32 games in both his freshman and sophomore seasons, Shaw saw his playing time go down a bit in the 2024-25 campaign. He appeared in 28 of Mizzou's 34 games this past year, averaging about nine minutes per game.

In his final year in Columbia, the forward averaged 2.6 points and 1.8 rebounds per game. Overall, Shaw recorded 3.0 points and 2.5 rebounds per game in his Tiger career.

Shaw came to Mizzou as a Top-60 rated prospect, according to 247Sports and was actually the highest rate recruit to commit to MU since 2017. The former four-star was the third-rated player out of the state of Kansas and 17th at his position.

He will now hunt for his second collegiate home.
