Several media outlets reported on Tuesday that Willie Mays passed away at the age of 93.
Mays was a World Series champion who had several iconic moments with the Giants in both New York and San Francisco.
He won Rookie of the Year in 1951, two MVP awards (1954 and 1965), had 24 All-Star selections and. 12 Gold Gloves. Mays hit .301 for his career, slugged 660 home runs, 1909 runs batted in and stole 339 bases. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1979.
