Mizzou lands commitment from Top-20 point guard Aaron Rowe
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
Tolton standout Aaron Rowe announced that he is taking his four-star talents to Mizzou in 2025. Rowe, one of the Top-20 recruits in the nation, announced the decision in front of a big crowd at Tolton Catholic High School, on Tuesday.
Rowe said that, after visiting Mizzou and head coach Dennis Gates, he didn't want to string any other schools along.
"I just felt like Coach Gates was a great person and he hold me accountable in what I need to work on and what I do good, so I just felt like having that in my life would be the best for me," Rowe said. "I just felt very comfortable at the visit."

The Columbia-native picked Mizzou over both Kansas State and Tennessee. The decision came after the 6-foot-1 point guard just returned to Columbia for his junior season. Rowe began his high school career at Tolton, but transferred to Link Academy for his sophomore year. He made the decision to finish out his career with the Trailblazers, but will have to wait to get on the court until Jan. 10.
Due to MSHSAA transfer rules, he cannot play with him team until second semester. He has been able to practice with them, however.
"I'm ready. I'm super excited," he said.
Tolton head coach Jeremy Osborne said that Rowe has a game that will definitely be able to translate well to the college level and help Mizzou win games.
"He's a guy that can go get a bucket. He can find others ways to get buckets and he's a facilitator that can also be a scorer," Osborne said. "He's one of the best defensive players in the state and he rebounds well at his position. He's very good in transition, one of the quickest guards I've seen. He's a winner, he wants to win."
Rowe is the first addition to Gates' 2025 class. He said he is now going to spend his time recruiting others to join him in Columbia.
