Mizzou holds steady at No. 9 in College Football Playoff rankings

KMIZ

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Mizzou football team stayed at No. 9 in the final College Football Playoff ranking before conference championship weekend and Selection Sunday, on Tuesday.

The Tigers are one of three SEC teams in the Top-10, after MU throttled rival Arkansas at Razorback Stadium on Black Friday. The 48-14 win was MU's largest margin of victory in 2023. The win also cemented the program's first 10-win season since 2014, as the Tigers finished the regular season 10-2, overall.

With head coach Eli Drinkwitz and company not moving up or down in the rankings for the third-straight week, a spot in a New Year's Six bowl looks more and more likely for the group.
