Mizzou soccer claims Braggin’ Rights with win over Illinois

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Mizzou soccer team claimed some Braggin' Rights at home on Thursday with a 2-1 victory over Illinois.

The Tigers got off to a two-score lead in the first half with goals from Jenna Bartels and Kylee Simmons.

The sole Illinois goal came off of a penalty kick from Kennedy Berschel.

Bella Hollenbach got the win in goal with four saves.

Mizzou is now 3-1-2 on the season. Up next, the group will face in-state foe Missouri State on Sunday at 1 p.m. in St. Louis.
