Tracking warm, dry conditions for most of the week leading up to Halloween

TODAY: I'm tracking a cool morning in the low 50s before sunshine and southerly winds at 5-8 mph bring warmth back to Mid-Missouri. Other than more upper-level clouds, mostly sunny conditions persist this afternoon as temperatures warm back into the upper 70s.

TONIGHT: I'm tracking another cool evening as temperatures drop back into the low 50s by the end of the night. Thin upper-level clouds and southerly winds at 5-8 mph are expected overnight.

EXTENDED: I'm tracking another warm afternoon to start the week, with temperatures returning to the upper 70s on Monday and thin upper-level clouds sticking around. A thicker layer of clouds arrives Tuesday as a passing wave brings chances for very light rainfall to Western Missouri, but at this point, a dry layer near the surface will keep Mid-Missouri dry through the day. This will keep temperatures in the low 50s for Tuesday morning and in the mid-70s for Tuesday afternoon. Slightly warmer conditions in the upper 70s and low 80s are expected Wednesday and Thursday as more sunshine returns. By Friday, cloud cover enters once again ahead of better rain chances that, for now, are most likely by Saturday afternoon, exiting through Sunday morning.
