Mizzou football releases week one injury report

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Mizzou football team released its injury report for week one on Tuesday, ahead of Thursday night's season opener against South Dakota.

Safety JC Carlies will be questionable headed into the game against the Coyotes.

Linebacker Chad Bailey, running back Michael Cox, wide receiver Peanut Houston and offensive lineman Bence Polgar are all listed as out. Defensive back Isaac Thompson is also out for the season after undergoing surgery in August.

Head coach Eli Drinkwitz announced, about a week before kickoff, that Bailey would be out for 21 days, after getting surgery on a soft tissue injury. Bailey was a limited participant through much off fall camp because of that injury.

Mizzou and South Dakota will kick off at 7 p.m. on Thursday night at Faurot Field.
