After a scoreless first half, the lone goal came from sophomore Ava Martin.

"It was thrilling and a big relief too, because, you know, we had plenty of shots on goal, but putting one in the back of the net was nice," Martin said.

Head coach Chuck Register and his team were filled with emotion after Saturday's, historic win.

"It was a goal-ridden season that we accomplished together. You couldn't have asked for greater ladies than I've ever had. It's an awesome team," he said. "Just a wonderful ride I got to go along with."
