Weekend one of MSHSAA State track and field comes to a close as local teams grab some hardware

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)

The first weekend of MSHSAA State Championships wrapped up Saturday at Adkins Stadium with class one and two track and field teams looking to add some hardware to the trophy case.

As a team, the Tolton girls brought home second place in class two, plus several local athletes came away with top finishes. You can find the full list of local finishes below.

CLASS ONE

Boys' pole vault - first place St. Elizabeth's Kade Wright, sixth place Vienna's Gavin Schwartze

Boys' 4x800 - seventh place Glascow's Zachary Sayler, Jackson Strodtman, Colton Sellmeyer and Edris Hamilton

Boys' 4x200 - eighth place Glascow's Finn Johnson, Jordan Fuemmeler, Colton Sellmeyer and Edris Hamilton

Girls' 1600m - third place Calvary Lutheran's Maddie Homfeldt, eighth place Glascow's Addison Barringhaus

Girls' pole vault - third place Vienna's Riley Rosentreter

Girls' discus throw - fourth place Calvary Lutheran's Sydney Morris

Girls' 1600m - first place Tolton's Elyse Wilmes, second place Tolton's Olivia Andrews, third place Tolton's Makaylin Viet

Girls' 800m - first place Tolton's Elyse Wilmes, second place Tolton's Olivia Andrews, sixth place Tolton's Makaylin Viet

Girls' shot put - first place Russellville's Trinity Riggs

Girls' 4x400 - second place Tolton's Madison Taylor, Aimi Zimmerman, Jillian Andrews and Elyse Wilmes

Girls' 100m hurdles - eighth place Tipton's Clara Williams

Girls' 100m - fourth place South Callaway's Reece Pahl, seventh place Fayette's Browyn Eubanks

Girls 4x100 - fifth place Fayette's Payton Kindle, Lasaydra Jackman, Madison Race and Browyn Eubanks

Girls' 200m - sixth place South Callaway's Reece Pahl

Girls high jump - third place Westran's Emma Wortman

Boys' 100m - first place Cole Camp's Reid Harrison, fourth place Fayette's Chase Allen-Jackman

Boys' high jump - third place Salisbury's Cooper Francis, fifth place Eugene's Ryder Belt, eighth place Harrisburg's Harley Whitaker

Boys' 110m hurdles - fifth place Harrisburg's Josh Cochran, sixth place Tipton's Johnathan Matchett

Boys 4x100 - fifth place Harrisburg's Braden Wyatt, Josh Cochran, Austin Darwent and Hunter Cole

Boys' 400m - second place Harrisburg's Hunter Cole, seventh place Harrisburg's Braden Wyatt

Boys' 300m hurdle - third place Tipton's Johnathan Matchett, sixth place Cole Camp's Benjamin Steenburgen

Boys' 3200m - second place Calvary Lutheran's Kyle Hagemeyer

Boys 4x400 - fifth place Harrisburg's Braden Wyatt, Harley Whitaker, Hunter Cole and Austin Darwent
