Mizzou WBB guard enters the transfer portal

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A team spokesperson confirmed that Mizzou women's basketball standout Sara-Rose Smith entered the transfer portal on Monday.

The Australia-native appeared in 31 games for the Tigers through the 2022-23 season, leading the team in rebounding. She averaged 6.7 points and 6.7 rebounds per game. Smith also led MU in assists per game, finishing 11th in the SEC with 6.7.

The guard joins center Jayla Kelly, guard Lauren Hansen and guard Katlyn Gilbert in Tiger players to hit the transfer portal in the off season. There are now four open scholarship spots for head coach Robin Pingeton to fill.
