Mizzou WBB’s season ends in second round WNIT loss to Kansas

The Mizzou women's basketball team lost its first rivalry game against Kansas since 2012, 75-47, on Monday night at Allen Fieldhouse. With the loss, MU ends the 2022-23 season 18-14 overall.

The Jayhawks got off to a hot start, with a 9-0 lead over the Tigers, however Hayley Frank helped make it a two point game in the first quarter. She finished with a team-high 17 points on the night, along with eight rebounds and two steals.

In the second quarter, the ball game got away from Mizzou. Kansas shot a scorching 70 percent from the field for much of the first half. Zakiyah Franklin led the scoring attack for KU with 21 points.

Frank was the only Tiger to get into double digit scoring on Monday night. The next closest scorers were Lauren Hansen and Ashton Judd with nine points apiece.
