Columbia College wins the AMC Championship

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

For the seventh time in program history, the Columbia College women's basketball team won the AMC Championship on Monday night. The Cougars took down Missouri Baptist 73-56.

South Callaway alum DeLaney Horstman led the scoring attack with 20 points on 8-14 shooting in the win. Multiple Cougars hit double-digit scoring though, including Tipton alum Abby Backes, Mallory Shetley and Allison Stiers.

Columbia College will now wait to find out where the team lands in the NAIA Tournament. The selection show is on Friday, March 3 at 6 p.m.
