Special teams blunders continue to be a concern for Chiefs Kingdom, following a 27-24 win over the Broncos at Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday. With the win, KC improved to 13-3 on the year.

Tommy Townsend boggled the hold for an extra point resulting in a failed two point conversion, Kadarius Toney fumbled on a punt return and the list goes on. Despite all those negatives, Kansas City did manage a win.

Patrick Mahomes finished the game 29-42 with 328 yards, three touchdowns and one interception. The quarterback hit 5,000 passing yards on the season in the win. He is just the second player in NFL history, joining Drew Brees, who has put up multiple 5,000 yard and 40 touchdown seasons.

Running back Jerick McKinnon continued a hot stretch. He got in for two touchdowns and had 52 receiving yards. Over the last five games, McKinnon has racked up eight total touchdowns.

Mizzou football alum Nick Bolton, once again, led KC in tackles, with 10, on Sunday. Carlos Dunlap, Trent McDuffie, Chris Jones and Khalen Saunders all tallied a sack against Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson.

Sunday's win against Denver was the Chiefs' final home game of the regular season.

Up next - Kansas City will close out the regular season with a road trip to Las Vegas on Jan. 8. There is no set time for kick off between the Chiefs and the Raiders yet.
