Lincoln men’s basketball team falls at home to No. 7 Central Oklahoma

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Lincoln Blue Tigers were taken down at home on Saturday by No. 7 Central Oklahoma 78-63.

LU got behind early going into the locker room down 20 and even though they outscored UCO in the second half, it wasn't enough the get the win.

Artese Stapleton had a stand out game for Lincoln with 29 points, seven rebounds and four assists. DJ Richardson had 10 points and Kevin Kone had eight points and 10 rebounds.

LU was strong shooting from the field with over 72% but struggled from beyond the arch shooting just 29%.

Up next - the Blue Tigers have an exhibition game at Southern Illinois on Tuesday at 7 p.m. The next home game will be Dec. 31 vs. Nebraska Kearney at 3 p.m.
