Mizzou WBB wins big in home opener

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

After a win on the road to start the season, the Mizzou women's basketball team got an even bigger win at home Thursday, 83-38 over Bradley.

The Tigers were led by Lauren Hansen with 17 points followed by Jayla Kelly with 13 points and 3 steals.

As a team, Mizzou shot 51.6% from the field and 43.5% from the three-point line.

After the game, head coach Robin Pingeton praised the selfless game that Mama Dembele played with six assists and six rebounds.

Freshman Ashton Judd also had a big debut at Mizzou Arena with 12 points and four boards.

Up next - the Tigers will play at home Sunday against in-state foe SEMO at 1 p.m.
