The Kansas City Chiefs could not hang on to a three-point lead in the final minutes of Sunday's game against Buffalo. The Bills marched 76 yards down the field to take the 24-20 win in the final four minutes of the game.

It was the first time that KC came into a home game during the Patrick Mahomes era as an underdog, as Buffalo had been favored all week.

The offense held off for both teams until the second quarter when the Bills took a three-point lead courtesy of a 39 yard field goal from Tyler Bass. Kansas City responded just minutes later with a Patrick Mahomes touchdown pass to Juju Smith-Schuster for 42 yards to take the lead.

The Bills led KC just seconds before halftime, however, kicker Harrison Butker knocked in a 62-yard field goal to tie it up at the break. It was his first game back from the injury that kept him out since week one.

After halftime, the Chiefs and the Bill traded shots. The two teams were all tied up at 17 when Butker knocked in another field goal, from 44 yards out, to take the 20-17 lead.

However, the Chiefs defense could not hold off quarterback Josh Allen and the Bills offense in the closing minutes. The group ran 12 plays for 76 yards, all ending in an Allen touchdown pass to Dawson Knox for the win.

Mahomes finished with 338 yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions on the outing. On the other sideline, Allen put up big stats with 329 yards and three touchdowns.

Mizzou alum Nick Bolton led the KC defense with 13 tackles on Sunday, two of which were for a loss.
