Mizzou to host Iowa State in SEC/Big 12 Challenge

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

For the second-straight season, Mizzou will take on a longtime rival, the Iowa State Cyclones, in the annual SEC/Big 12 Challenge. MU will host Iowa State at Mizzou Arena on Saturday, Jan. 28.

One season ago, the SEC won the annual challenge winning six out of ten games.

The Tigers lead the all-time series against the Cyclones 150-85, however, Iowa State has won the last two over Mizzou. Mizzou will look to get to the .500 mark in the SEC/Big 12 Challenge this season, as it has a 2-3 overall record.

It will be head coach Dennis Gates' first time competing in the challenge. He will face a Cyclone team that reached the Sweet 16 in 2022 for the sixth time in program history, in one of the biggest turnarounds in the country.

The start time of Mizzou's game against Iowa State will be announced at a later date.
