The University of Missouri has a new men's basketball coach.

The board of curators hired Dennis Gates, formerly the coach at Cleveland State, to take over after the firing of Cuonzo Martin. Gates has a record of success in a relatively short time at Cleveland State but has never led a major-conference program.
