Mizzou men’s hoops falls to Florida at home

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Mizzou men's basketball team came up just short against Florida on Wednesday afternoon. The Gators beat the Tigers 66-65.

MU was up 65-64 with 11.8 seconds to go in the game. Florida's Tyree Applebee drew a foul and made both free throws to go up 66-65 with 7.9 seconds left in regulation. The Tigers missed two shots on their ensuing possession, and they ultimately lost by one point.

Ronnie DeGray III led Mizzou with 13 points. Boogie Coleman finished with 12 points. DaJuan Gordon had 10 points and 9 rebounds.

MU is now 8-13 overall and 2-6 in the SEC. Up next - the Tigers will play at Texas A&M on Saturday at 3 p.m.
