Mizzou WBB falls on the road to Missouri State

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Mizzou women's basketball team lost on the road to Missouri State, 79-51, on Friday night. It's MU's second straight loss after starting the season 8-0.

The Tigers and Lady Bears were tied 25-25 in the second quarter, but MSU ended the half on a 16-0 run. MU could never recover.

Springfield area native Hayley Frank led the Tigers with 12 points. Aijha Blackwell finished with 11 points and five rebounds.

The Tigers are now 8-2 overall. Up next - Mizzou will host Alabama A&M on Sunday at 2 p.m.
