Mizzou offense previews matchup with SEMO
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
Multiple members of the Mizzou offense previewed the team's matchup with Southeast Missouri State on Saturday. Although SEMO is an FCS team, MU has made it clear it is not looking past the RedHawks.
You can watch the full interviews with quarterback Connor Bazelak and more offensive players in the video players below.
Bazelak said he learned a lot about the fight of his team after the Tigers fell to Kentucky in week two.
"It's not like we have talent that going to overtop the other SEC teams," he said. "That's got to be our separation, just our camaraderie. and how we play and fight in games and our grit."
Bazelak added that after the game he went around to each of his teammates and told them he was proud of how they fought and that there are still ten more games in the season.
"As a team we showed great fight and great tenacity. We showed that no matter the score that's on the scoreboard, we're always going to fight for one another," tight end Daniel Parker Jr. said. "Connor going around to everybody and reiterating the fact that this is not over, that's one game. We can continue to win out. We can continue to take it day-by-day and be 1-0, I think that was crucial by Connor."
Mizzou and Southeast Missouri State will kick off at 11 a.m. on Saturday at Faurot Field, as the Tigers look to bounce back.
