Despite spending the Fourth of July weekend on a pontoon with his family, Eli Drinkwitz still managed to keep the recruiting wave moving. Over the course of two days, two four-star recruits announced their commitments to the Tigers.

On Friday, El Paso-native Tavorus Jones picked Mizzou over Florida, Michigan, Penn State, and just about every other school in the state of Texas. He is the fifth-ranked running back in the state of Texas.

On Saturday morning, Coach Drink picked up another four-star recruit. Offensive lineman Deshawn Woods committed to Mizzou over Arizona State. Woods is the the top player in the state of Nebraska and the No. 19 offensive tackle in the nation. His commitment marked the 11th of Mizzou's 2022 class.

Following those commitments, Drinkwitz's class of 2022 is ranked No. 13 in the nation and No. 5 in the SEC by Rivals. So far, the class has six four-star commitments.
