St. Elizabeth baseball advances to third straight state championship game

OZARK, Mo. (KMIZ)

The St. Elizabeth baseball team beat Leeton 2-0 on Monday to advance to the Class 1 state championship game for the third straight season.

St. Elizabeth scored both of its runs via the sacrifice fly. Hornets standout Brock Lucas pitched a complete game shutout with eight strikeouts on the mound.

The Hornets will now play Oran on Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. for a shot at a second straight state title. This will be a rematch of the 2018 state championship game. That year, the Eagles beat the Hornets 4-1.
