Mizzou football newcomer enters transfer portal

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Mizzou football newcomer Jadarrius Perkins is leaving the program less than four months after arriving on campus. A Mizzou spokesperson confirmed Perkins entered the transfer portal on Thursday.

Perkins was the No. 3 ranked junior college transfer this past year. The junior defensive back chose MU over several offers, including Alabama, Texas A&M and Arizona.

Perkins signed with MU in January and participated in spring practices. The Hattiesburg, Miss. native even took some first team reps. But, he'll leave Columbia without playing a single game for the Tigers.

The junior college All-American played his first two years of college football at Mississippi Gulf Coast.
