Columbia’s J’den Cox will not compete at Olympic Trials

FORT WORTH, Tx.

Columbia-native J'den Cox will not compete in the 2020 Olympic Trials, after missing weight on Friday morning.

USA Wrestling removed him from the 97 kg bracket following Friday morning's weigh-in. Cox had earned a spot in the semifinals after he won a medal at the 2019 Worlds competition.

Cox is on a more than 20-match winning streak, dating back to 2018.

The former Mizzou wrestling standout won a bronze medal in the 2016 Olympics, as well as at the 2017 Worlds competition.
