Chiefs advance to second straight Super Bowl

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Chiefs are Super Bowl bound for the second straight year. Kansas City beat Buffalo 38-24 to capture another AFC Championship on Sunday night.

The Chiefs trailed 9-0 after the first quarter, but Kansas City responded with 21 points in the second quarter to take a 21-12 lead into halftime.

The Bills could not stop Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs offense in the second half. Quarterback Patrick Mahomes was 29/38 for 325 yards and 3 touchdowns in the win.

Tyreek Hill finished with a postseason franchise record 172 yards receiving. Travis Kelce had a team-high 13 catches for 118 yards and two touchdowns.

Kansas City will play Tampa Bay in Super Bowl LV on Sunday, Feb. 7 at 5:30 p.m.
