Take two on SEC action for Mizzou hoops

COLUMBIA, Mo (KMIZ)

The Mizzou basketball team will look for its first SEC win in a meeting with the Arkansas Razorbacks on Saturday.

The Tigers started the season 6-0, however, the No. 7 Tennessee Volunteers handed them their first loss of the season on Wednesday.

Mizzou and the Razorbacks are familiar foes, but MU has won three of the last five meetings.

As Cuonzo Martin and company head further into SEC action, it marks the beginning of a more consistent schedule, as the team is set to play about twice a week.

In non-conference action, the Tigers expereince quite a few layoffs, including an 11 day break between games.

"Just the unknowns and managing the pace in which you practice, so you get enough in and not too much," Martin said. "I do like, you know, I'm hopeful we can get 18 conference games in and just go from there."
