Alabama rolls over Mizzou in the SEC opener

COLUMBIA, Mo (KMIZ)

The Mizzou women's basketball team fell to Alabama, 74-59, following a strong second half showing from the Crimson Tide.

The game remained close throughout the entire first half, with multiple lead changes, ties, and even a tie at the break.

However, Alabama took over as the second half got rolling.

The Tide's Jordan Lewis could not be stopped as she claimed the game-high 27 points, along with four assists.

Aijha Blackwell and Hayley Frank kept the Tigers in the game for as long as they could. Blackwell had the team-high 15 points and added on 12 rebounds and two assists.

Mizzou will move on to meet Arkansas on January 3.
