Kansas City’s Mecole Hardman reportedly added to COVID-19/reserve list

KMIZ

KANSAS CITY, Mo (KMIZ)

Reports said the Kansas City Chiefs added wide receiver Mecole Hardman to the COVID-19/reserve list.

Several national media outlets, including ESPN, reported the news on Wednesday afternoon.

The Chiefs have not confirmed Hardman's placement yet.

When a team puts a player on the list, it does not necessarily mean that players has tested positive for COVID-19. Anyone who has even just been exposed can be placed on the reserve.

According to the NFL's COVID-19 protocols, a player must test negative for five, consecutive days before they will be able to return.

On November 5, one Kansas City staff member tested positive for COVID-19, which resulted in a complete shutdown of training facilities.

The club did move forward with their Sunday matchup versus the Carolina Panthers, due to no additional positive tests.
