Kansas City improves to 7-1 on the season

KANSAS CITY, Mo (KMIZ)

The Kansas City Chiefs took down the New York Jets, 35-9, in a standout performance from quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

Mahomes passed for 416 yards and five touchdowns with 73 percent accuracy, making this his 10th outing with more than four touchdowns.

Kansas City, once again, proved that it can beat teams a lot of different ways.

Punter Tommy Townsend caught New York off guard when he faked the punt and threw to a wide open Byron Pringle. The fake punt led to a Patrick Mahomes - Tyreek Hill touchdown connection.

With the 35 points in Sunday's win, the Chiefs tallied more than 23 points in 44 of their last 45 games.
