Special Olympics Missouri athlete to announce Chiefs draft pick

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - On Saturday, Arthur Murphy will announce one of the day three selections for the Kansas City Chiefs in the 2020 NFL Draft.

Murphy is from Independence and is an athlete for Special Olmpics Missouri. The NFL selected Murphy due to his long-time involvement with Special Olympics and for being a Chiefs fan.

Murphy said, "I feel so honored and excited to be selected for this opportunity. I am a big Chiefs fan, so getting to be a part of this experience is pretty awesome."

Chiefs head coach Andy Reid said, "I am excited to see my friend Arthur help announce one of our picks this weekend. I've always been a big fan of the Special Olympics and the work they do in our communities. We are lucky to have Arthur represent Chiefs Kingdom."

The NFL Draft takes place April 23-25 and will air on ABC.
