Mizzou WBB suffers historic loss to Princeton

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Mizzou women's basketball team lost 68-33 to Princeton on Wednesday night. The Tigers are now 3-9 on the season.

Mizzou's 33 points tied the fewest by an MU team in program history. MU also scored 33 points in a loss to Kansas State on the road on Feb. 10, 2010.

Mizzou's 35-point loss was the largest since Jan. 10, 2013 when the Tigers lost 84-39 at Tennessee.

The Tigers were 13-52 (25%) from the field against Princeton. MU turned it over 17 times in the loss. Princeton finished with seven blocks.

Hayley Frank led the Tigers with 10 points. Aijha Blackwell had seven points and nine rebounds. The freshman also had a team-high nine turnovers.

Up next - Mizzou will host Illinois on Friday at noon.
