KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — A 43-year-old Kansas City man has been sentenced to 22 years in prison for the shooting death of a transgender woman. Marcus Lewis was sentenced Thursday in the death of 24-year-old Brooklyn Lindsey. Lewis pleaded guilty in June to voluntary manslaughter, armed criminal action and unlawful possession of a firearm.
