Two running for Columbia Ward 2 Council seat, Peters files for reelection in Ward 6

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Two people have filed to run for the Ward 2 Columbia City Council seat, according to an email from City Clerk Sheela Amin.

Lisa Meyer and Robert Schreiber III filed for a run for the Ward 2 seat in the April election. The deadline to file was Tuesday. The seat is currently held by Rachel Proffitt, who was picked to fill the seat on Nov. 27 after Andrea Waner announced her resignation in October.

Incumbent Ward 6 Councilwoman Betsy Peters filed for reelection. She is running unopposed.
