QUESTION OF THE DAY: Should money to expand I-70 statewide stay in the state budget?

The Missouri Senate wants to expand Interstate 70 from border to border.

The House, not so much. At least, the money to do it wasn't included in the lower chamber's budget. However, the Senate included about $2 billion in its version of the budget to do just that.

The deadline for both chambers to pass an identical budget is 6 p.m. on Friday but lawmakers were still working out the differences in a conference committee Wednesday evening.
