Man charged after allegedly disrupting Camden County voting

CAMDEN, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Camden County Sheriff's Office is seeking charges against a man after he allegedly disrupted the voting process at multiple locations Tuesday.

According to a Facebook post, deputies first responded to the Autumn Village office, a voting location in Camden.

Deputies say the suspect, Corey J. Coffelt, disrupted the internet in the area by damaging phone lines and a modem.

The suspect then allegedly broke into the office at Rippling Waters, where he is accused of pulling a knife on an employee.

The Coffelt was soon apprehended by deputies.

Coffelt is charged with first-degree burglary, endangering the welfare of a child, armed criminal action, first-degree property damage and unlawful use of a weapon.

The court denied Coffelt bond.
