Columbia Public Works director announces retirement

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Columbia's director of Public Works, Dave Nichols, will be retiring on Oct. 14.

According to a news release, Nichols has worked with the City of Columbia since 2005. In this time, he has worked as chief engineer, manager of engineering and inspections, assistant director of Public Works and director of Public Works. Nichols has been in this position since 2015.

The release said City Manager John Glascock will be evaluating the process to choose the next Public Works director.
