Missouri State Highway Patrol troopers say a Jefferson City woman crashed her car in Miller County Saturday night because she was distracted from reading a text message. The crash happened on Highway 54 just after 8 p.m. According to the crash report, Ashley Bond, 22, drove across the median and two lanes of oncoming traffic.
