On Friday evening, a tornado in Cole County near the city of Wardsville brought EF 0 and EF 1 damage, the lowest on the EF scale. The tornado touched down 2 miles west of Wardsville on Pebble Creek road in a neighborhood where it caused minor damage to the roof of a single family home.

A family is looking at months of clean up and repair after an EF-1 tornado ripped the roof off their home. According to the National Weather Service, a tornado briefly touched down about one mile northwest of Wardsville.
